RCIPS Requests Public Assistance in Locating Man Who Escaped from Lawful Custody Yesterday, Tuesday, 21 March
Yesterday, 21 March, about midday, a 22-year-old man of West Bay, Travis Alexander Ebanks, escaped from lawful custody in West Bay. Mr. Ebanks was in police custody on suspicion of burglary in the vicinity of the West Bay Police Station when he exited a police car and fled. Officers pursued him on foot and he was last seen on Elizabeth Street.

Mr. Ebanks is 5’8” in height and about 167 lbs. He was handcuffed when he fled, and was wearing an orange polo shirt and black denim ¾ length pants.
Mr. Ebanks has been charged with Burglary and Theft of a Motor Vehicle. Mr. Ebanks is not believed to be dangerous and does not have a history of violent crime, however, members of the public should exercise caution and call 9-1-1 immediately if he is seen.
