Cayman [Islands] Registry listed as a top performing flag in USCG annual PSC Report

The United States Coast Guard (USCG) recently released its 2016 Annual Report on Port State Control in the United States.  Cayman Registry is listed as a top performing flag in USCG annual PSC Report.
Cayman Registry is listed as one of the top performing flag states with a 0% detention ratio on the USCG 3 year rolling average criteria. This means that Cayman Registry will continue to be approved for the USCG Qualship 21 programme which recognizes and rewards vessels, their owners and flag administrations for their commitment to safety and quality.
The criteria for inclusion are very strict and only a small percentage of all foreign-flagged ships that operate in the United States have earned the QUALSHIP 21 designation.  Cayman Registry is listed in the report as having the 8th largest fleet in the world of Qualship 21 approved vessels.
Mr. A. Joel Walton, CEO of Cayman Registry commented: “We are very pleased to be recognized, for the seventh year running, by the United States Coast Guard as one of the world’s leading flags and would like to congratulate our team and our shipowners for their continued efforts in maintaining an outstanding safety and quality record for the Cayman flag.”
