Burglary at GT Primary School on Friday, 9 June
Just after 6AM on 9 June, officers were called to attend the George Town Primary School due to a report of a burglary. The school canteen had been broken into at some point throughout the night, and a safe had been stolen. The contents of the safe included a significant quantity of food tickets and quantity of cash.
Attending police officers, along with the Scene of Crime officers, carried out an area search and recovered the safe nearby. The safe had been damaged, but all the contents were also recovered.
The incident is under police investigation.

Charge in 3 June Shooting
The 24-year-old West Bay man in Police custody in connection with the early morning shooting incident on 3 June has been charged with Possession of an Imitation Firearm and will be in court this morning, 12 June.
Clarification: The charge for Possession of an Imitation Firearm per the above arises from the incident on 3 June, however, this is not a charge for the shooting itself.
Male juvenile charged in connection with stabbing on 3 June
A 15-year-old male juvenile of West Bay, was arrested yesterday, 11 June for a stabbing incident that took place on 3 June off West Bay Road in George Town.
The male juvenile was later charged for the offence of Wounding with Intent and is expected to go before the court today.
The victim, also a male juvenile has been released from the hospital.
