Accelerating the Cayman Islands PR Application Process
The team began processing PR applications on Tuesday, 25 July 2017 and met again the following day on Wednesday, 26 July 2017 to continue the work.
Throughout the two days one application was granted, with 12 refused, five deferred and two withdrawn.
To date 73 applications have been reviewed, 14 granted approval, 28 refused, 22 deferred, six withdrawn and three did not qualify because the application was received after the nine year cut-off.
The Ministry of Immigration announced that the team will begin meeting three days a week to further accelerate the process of applications.
“I’m thankful to the new team of administrators for successfully taking on this challenge, and helping alleviate the PR backlog burden,” Chief Officer for the Ministry of Immigration Wesley Howell says. “With the administrators working three days a week, along with the work done by the CSPR Board, the total number of applications being processed weekly will obviously be increasing.”
