Single-Vehicle Accident on ETH Last Night, 24 August

About 9:15PM Thut night, 24 August, Police and emergency personnel were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communications Centre to a motor vehicle accident in which a red Honda CRV had reportedly flipped several times on the Esterly Tibbetts Highway, between Snug Harbour and Canal Point Drive.

On the arrival of the police and ambulance, the driver of the vehicle, 31-year-old man of George Town, was assessed and no obvious signs of injury were found. He refused further medical attention.

Police had reason to suspect the driver’s judgment was impaired, and he was subsequently arrested on suspicion of Driving Whilst Impaired. The man is currently on Police bail.

The matter is under investigation.
