The Democracy Institute: Panel discusses issues of global free trade

Last week a distinguished panel gathered in Geneva to discuss trade issues affecting different Nations and individuals as the world appears to pull in different directions. Some looking for a more global approach while others are looking to protect domestic interests.

The event ran in parallel with the World Trade Organization’s Public Forum 2017 in Geneva, was live streamed at the time and is now available as a catch up video.

The panel comprised of Dr Patrick Basham, founder and director of The Democracy Institute. The Democracy Institute is a think tank that serves to further public education through the production and dissemination of accessible commentary on complex issues. He was joined by his colleagueJeannie Cameron and Dominic Nicholls editor of The Addington Word and regular contributor to The Economist and The Daily Telegraph.

To add further gravitas to the panel the presence of Sir Ronald Sanders, Antigua & Barbuda’s Ambassador to the United States of America.
