From RCIPS

Just before 2AM today, Thursday, 16 November, police officers were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communications Centre to a report of an assault that took on Smith Road in the vicinity of Tropical Plaza in George Town.  Bottles were reportedly being thrown at a man, who was on the ground and bleeding from the head.

On arrival at the location, officers located a man on Smith Road, near the entrance of Cayman Prep School, who appears to have sustained a serious head injury. The man was taken to the Cayman Islands Hospital and is still receiving treatment.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses to this incident to come forward and contact police.
