The RCIPS would like to inform the public that the entrance of  Poindexter Road from Shamrock Road will now be open to the public.

However, the entrance to Prospect on Poindexter Road at the Prospect Primary School round-about will remain closed on weekdays from 7AM to 9AM. The officer present at the location in the mornings will only permit persons living in Prospect and persons with children attending school in Prospect to enter.

The Traffic Management Unit would like to thank members of the public who have been co-operating with this on-going operation for the past week. They encourage you to plan your route in the mornings, so that you are not affected by these road closures. These road closures are a pilot program that the Traffic Management Unit with the assistance of National Roads Authority (NRA),  will be carrying out in an effort to ease traffic congestion coming from the Eastern Districts into George Town during morning commute.
