Rum Point, Grand Cayman (January 24, 2018) – Savory “Ropa Vieja,” refreshing mojitos and lively Cuban dancers¾all part of a new Cuban dining adventure available on Wednesdays at the Rum Point Club. Known for its creative fine dining experiences, Rum Point will be hosing “Havana Nights” on Wednesdays this season, promising delicious Cuban dishes, Cuban pricing on classic Cuban cocktails, and an authentic Cuban dance troupe to get the party started with salsa, mambo, habanera and rumba.

“I think the allure of Cuba, our close neighbor to the North, appeals to those who are not yet ready to make the trip, even though it’s an easy hop from Grand Cayman,” said John Buckley Rum Point Restaurant Manager. “An evening filled with the tastes and sounds of Cuba offers a sample of what people will experience in Cuba.”

The Havana Nights buffet at Rum Point will feature Cuban flag labels on dishes such as the popular Ropa Vieja and Pescado Criollo. Dessert includes brownie “cigars” with authentic Cohiba or Partagas cigar bands. Guests can amble over to the Wreck Bar for a mojito or Havana Club rum on ice. Havana Nights is a great new addition to Rum Point assortment of dining experiences, sure to please locals and visitors alike, no matter where they are staying on Grand Cayman.

Red Sail Sports offers catamaran ferry service to Rum Point for Havana Nights. The catamaran departs from Safehaven dock at 5:30 pm and arrives at Rum Point at 6:30pm. The Cuban dancers take the stage at 7:00 pm, after guests enjoy the dinner buffet. The return Catamaran ferry leaves Rum Point at 9:30 pm and arrives at the Safehaven dock at10:30 pm.
