Cayman Islands: Man robbed in George Town, 24 March

Shortly before 5:30PM on Friday, 23 March, officers responded to a report of a robbery which took place in the vicinity of Tropical Gardens Road, George Town. A man was walking in the area when he was approached by three men who held him, punched him in the face, and robbed him of his phone, shoes and other personal items. The men then fled from the location on foot.
No weapons were used during the incident and the victim did not sustain any serious injuries.
The men are described as being of dark complexion and short stature, and appeared to be younger than 20 years old. They were dressed in dark-coloured clothing, and one of the men is described as being heavyset.
The incident is under police investigation and anyone with any information is asked to contact George Town CID at 949-4222.
