Two St Lucian athletes to compete in Caribbean International Invitational
[Press Release] Two St Lucian athletes will be representing the Sports and Combat Sambo Federation at the Caribbean International Invitational held in Trinidad on the 28th April, 2018 in the sport of Sambo.
This is a first for St Lucia since 2012 where Thaddeus Francis competed in the Pan American Sambo Games. Sambo is one of the fastest growing martial arts and is slowly making its way into the Caribbean .It is also in the process of becoming an Olympic sport.
The inaugural event will feature several countries throughout the region and combat sports including sambo, boxing, grappling to name a few as well as MMA bouts which will be refereed by Herb Dean.

We offer training at the Carielle Fitness Centre on a Saturday from 3-6pm and offer a free open day to the public every first Saturday of the month.
