Cayman Islands: Anti-Gambling Operation last Friday, 25 May, Nets Six Arrests

Early evening last Friday, 25 May, a Joint Task Force made up of members of the RCIPS, Customs and the Immigration Departments conducted a joint operation at Archie’s Bar on Shedden Road George Town. Six (6) persons were arrested during the operation as follows:
A man, age 20 of George Town, for possession and consumption of ganja;
A man, age 63 of George Town, for illegal gambling;
A man, age 34 of George Town, for possession of ganja;
A man, age 68 of West Bay, for illegal gambling;
A man, age 56 of George Town, for illegal gambling and disorderly conduct;
A man, age 34 of Bodden Town, for possession of ganja and possession with intent.
Gambling paraphernalia, a quantity of ganja and a small amount of cash was seized during the operation. All persons arrested are now on Police bail.
