On Friday, 1 June, officers received a report of a rape which was stated to have occurred on the morning of Monday, 28 May. It was reported that a woman had been driving towards Bodden Town at about 4:30AM, when she pulled off the road in the vicinity of the intersection of Astral Way and Homestead Crescent in Savannah and exited her vehicle. She states she was then grabbed from behind by a man wearing a mask and dark clothing who was accompanied by three other masked men, pulled back into her vehicle, driven to a nearby location and raped. The culprits then left the location.

The matter is currently under police investigation and officers are interested in speaking to anyone who may have any information about this incident, or who saw anything suspicious in the Savannah area at around 4:30 on Monday morning, 28 May. Any such persons are asked to contact Bodden Town CID at 649-2220.
