Memorial to African & Caribbean soldiers

6th June 2018 marked the 74th anniversary of the D-Day landings, the largest seaborne invasion in history.
On the 6th of June 1944 – the British Army crossed the channel, with Allied support, to launch a major operation on Nazi occupied Europe.
A commemoration took place earlier at Brixton’s Black Cultural Archives – to recognise the role that African and Carribbean soldiers played.
