Haitian-American singer and Miami native, Jason Derulo, is set to serenade soccer fans at the opening of the World Cup today.

Derulo will perform his catchy, up-tempo song Colours.
The ‘Tip Toe’ hitmaker will perform the tournament’s anthem ‘Colors’ as the competition kicks off in Russia.

Derulo says he is relishing the chance to hit back at Donald Trump with his ditty, as his parents are Haitians.

“I am going to Russia and it’s a song about unity, togetherness and celebrating where you are from,” said the star. ‘I am proud of my roots.”

After the US president allegedly dubbed the Caribbean isle a s***hole, Derulo said: “Trump said some crazy remarks about my home country and I sent a tweet out to him. ‘My country is a very beautiful place.’”
