Further to the below, we can confirm that the investigation indicates that the wounding occurred near a residence on Fiddler’s Way nearby, and not near the Pirates Cove Bar, as earlier reported.

The victim was treated and released from hospital, and the incident remains under police investigation.

Wounding in East End Last Friday Night, 15 June

Officers responded to the vicinity of the Pirates Cove Bar in East End on Friday night, 15 June, around 10PM regarding an altercation that had taken place.  A man had been transported to Health City by private car before police arrived. 

The man was then transported to George Town Hospital for treatment for a wound not considered to be life threatening.

Police are looking for any witnesses to an altercation between at least two men last Friday night, which is believed to have occurred just outside Pirates Cove Bar before 10PM.  Those with any information are asked to call Bodden Town Police Station at 947-2240, or the Crime Stoppers call centre in Miami free-of-charge at 800-8477 (TIPS) or online at http://www.crimestoppers.ky/home/ .
