Coming off their great record setting year in 2017, the annual Breeze Fusion 5K Walk / Run is seeking to exceed expectations this coming November 4th.  The event organized by Radio Cayman and Breeze FM, also saw success with their inaugural Cayman Brac leg in 2016, and will be returning to the Sister Island on November 24th.

Since its inception in 2007, proceeds from the Breeze Fusion race have supported the National Council for Voluntary Organizations (NCVO), an independent, non-profit, charitable organization which engages in projects to meet the ever-growing needs of the community.

Paulette Conolly-Bailey, Deputy Director for Radio Cayman, stated “Each year, along with the NCVO, two other recipient fundraisers are also selected.  We’re proud to announce that 2018 will see the John Gray Music Department along with the Sew ‘n So club in Cayman Brac receive funds to support their programmes. It’s such a joy to be able to help the community in this small way.”

Participants for the Grand Cayman race are encouraged to register by September 30th to take advantage of the early registration discount.  The first 300 participants will receive a goodie bag, and a participation medal. The first, second and third place overall male and female runners will receive a trophy.  All participants will get a chance to win door prize draws.

Early registration for Grand Cayman is only $15 until September 30th and CI$10  for Students 16 & Under.  Adult Registration goes up to $20 after September 30th. The Cayman Brac registration is CI$15 Adults and CI$10 Students.

The 12th Annual Breeze Fusion race will take place at Smith’s Barcadere in South Sound on November 3rd and the 3rd Annual Brac Breeze leg will start from Public Beach on November 24th.  Walkers will start at 6:30am and Runners at 6:45am. Both the Grand Cayman and Cayman Brac races will cater to 8 Age Categories, Under 12 | 12-14 | 15-19 | 20-29 | 30-39 | 40- 49 / 50-59 | 60+  . First, second and third place finishers will get a medal.  The first , second and third place overall male and female runners will receive a trophy.  The first 300 registrants  on Grand Cayman and  the first 100 on the Brac will get also get participation medals, a goody bag and t-shirt. .
