Guyana: Banks DIH employee killed during speeding frenzy
Andy Gajadar, a 24-year-old employee of Banks DIH Berbice branch met a gruesome death last evening, after the car that he was driving, slammed into a GPL lamp post at New Amsterdam last night.
So brutal was the crash, that rescuers had to take more than two hours to remove his mangled body from the wrecked car in which he had met his demise.
A doctor on the scene subsequently confirmed that the man had died.
His body was then escorted to the New Amsterdam Hospital mortuary, where a post-mortem examination is expected to be carried out.
According to Guyana Police Force spokesman Superintendent Jairam Ramlakhan, Gajadar was allegedly speeding along the Esplanade Public Road, New Amsterdam, when he lost control of motor car PTT 7593 and crashed into the utility pole.
