Rotary, Endeavour and Public Works Department team up to beautify public parks
Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands – 16 October 2018: On Saturday 3 November 2018, Rotary, Endeavour and Public Works will join forces to refurbish Watlers Community Park in George Town. This will be the first project in what is intended to be a larger initiative to beautify public gathering spaces across the Island.
Volunteers from The Rotary Club of Grand Cayman will be joined by teams from Endeavour General Construction and Repair and Public Works Department to paint cabanas, repair walkways, refurbish play areas and plant trees. Serving as a focal point of the park will be a mural designed and painted by Art Nest.
“Located in the heart of George Town, Watlers Park is a centre point of the community and should not be allowed to fall into disrepair. We want to ensure it is preserved for families and particularly children in the area to enjoy for many years to come.” said Stephanie Wight, Co-Director of Community Service for The Rotary Club of Grand Cayman. “We are so grateful for the involvement and support of Leslie Bromfield from Endeavour and Crosby Solomon and his team from Public Works.”
” It is our pleasure to contribute to such a worthwhile project. This is what community is all about, and we cannot wait to see the end result. Our special thank to the Rotary Club of Grand Cayman for inviting us to take part.” said Leslie Bromfield.
” We are extremely fortunate and welcome the partnership of both private and public sectors working together. This enables us to create synergies that will surely benefit our community not just for the moment, but more importantly for our future. Our motto is ” public works that works proudly.” said Crosby Solomon
