DMS Offshore Investment Services (DMS) will provide the opportunity for one Caymanian student to gain exposure to the financial services industry by attending the upcoming Hedge Fund conference. DMS, the largest fund governance firm serving the hedge fund industry, partnered with South Street Capital Management LP and GAIM to present the GAIM Ops Scholar Award at the seventh annual GAIM Ops Cayman conference, hosted at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman between April 22^nd to 25^th.

All Caymanian students between the ages of fifteen and eighteen who are considering a career in financial services are encouraged to reach out and submit in one hundred words why they should be chosen to attend this important industry event.

GAIM Ops Cayman is recognised as the premier hedge fund industry event that strengthens operational due diligence in response to game-changing hedge fund industry trends. The conference serves as a platform to educate and inform industry professionals on critical issues and provided the opportunity to discuss possible changes to due diligence and compliance processes moving forward.

Leading institutional investors from around the world convene in the Cayman Islands each year to see, first-hand, the institutional quality excellence in fund governance that has contributed to Cayman being the number one jurisdiction for hedge funds.

The short list of applicants will be invited to DMS House in George Town prior to the conference to attend a complimentary Hedge Fund 101 workshop, which will also provide an educational opportunity for students who would otherwise not have the exposure to Cayman’s financial services industry.

For the second year DMS is looking for applications from local students between the ages of 15 and 18,  for the GAIM Ops Scholar Award to share this incredible learning experiences of GAIM Ops with deserving young Caymanians. Applicants for this year’s GAIM Ops Scholar Award are expected to write a brief paragraph as to why they should be selected to attend the conference. The short list of candidates will be invited to attend a complimentary Hedge Fund 101 seminar offered by DMS Offshore Investment Services. Applications close on April 5, 2012.
