Around 2:20AM Thu morning, 3 January, a major collision occurred on northbound side of North Sound Road in the vicinity of Alissta Towers. A black Ford SUV and silver Lexus carrying a total of six passengers collided, causing the northbound section of the road to be blocked. Police and emergency personnel responded to the scene, and as of 7AM Thu morning the road was re-opened to traffic.

One person is in serious but stable condition following the collision.
