Harneys names five new partners in New Year’s promotions
Harneys is pleased to announce the promotions of five partners across the firm’s BVI, Cayman Islands and Hong Kong offices. The new partners are Stuart Cullen, Paula Kay, Paul Madden, Katie Pearson and Daniella Skotnicki.
Stuart Cullen in the firm’s BVI office specialises in shareholder litigation and arbitration, international insolvency and restructuring, and asset recovery (often involving LatAm clients).
Paula Kay in Hong Kong focuses on high value, multi-jurisdictional shareholder disputes in offshore companies listed in Hong Kong or the US.
Paul Madden in the firm’s Cayman office specialies in insolvency and commercial litigation, with a particular focus on shareholder appraisal litigation. His clientele includes hedge funds, insolvency practitioners, international financial institutions and directors.
Katie Pearson in the firm’s Cayman office specialises in high-value and high-profile international commercial litigation, insolvency and restructuring.
Daniella Skotnicki in the firm’s Cayman office has over 12 years’ experience and a broad private funds practice specialising in hedge funds and private equity as well as advising on fintech related matters.

The firm’s New Year promotions also include the appointment to counsel of Mirza Manraj in Hong Kong and George Weston in the BVI. In addition, Ian Clark, Leona Healey, Paula Gibbs, Marie Skelly, and Lucy Hickmet in Hong Kong and Lachlan Greig in Cayman, have been promoted to senior associate.
The promotions for Stuart Cullen and Paula Kay were effective from 1 January 2019. Harneys will have 60 partners across its international locations.
The appointments of Paul Madden, Katie Pearson and Daniella Skotnicki to partner and Lachlan Greig to senior associate are pending approval by Cayman Islands Immigration authorities.
