The RCIPS would like to inform that a post-mortem examination of the child victim in this matter was conducted by a pediatric pathologist; the examination confirmed a finding of drowning as the cause of death.

The age of the victim, a girl, was 22 months.

The Police investigation into this matter has not yet concluded, however, there are no suspicious circumstances at this time.
