A man whose wife had made a domestic abuse complaint against him, and who was being questioned by lawmen at the Anna Regina Police Station several minutes after, drop dead suddenly while officers were trying to get to the bottom of the matter.

Police spokesman Jairam Ramlekhan who confirmed the man’s demise, explained via a missive that sometime after 11pm last night while police were questioning 46-year-old Om Singh into a domestic violence case, where he had allegedly beaten his 33-year-old wife, the man simply drop dead in the inquiries section of the Station.

While he was rushed to the hospital, that did nothing to change his fate.

Baffled lawmen are now awaiting a post mortem examination to bring a clearer understanding of what could have caused the lot 35 Danielstown, Essequibo Coast man to meet such a currently unexplained end.
