How to Convert PDF to Excel for Free Without Installing Any Program
PDF is one of the most popular digital file formats, but its biggest strength is also its biggest weakness. PDFs are protected from being edited by default, so in order to modify their content you need to have a robust PDF editor at hand or convert PDF to Word, Excel or some other file format used for document creation and editing.
Luckily, if you have a PDF and want to convert it to Excel without installing any program on your desktop computer, free online PDF tool can do the trick. There are numerous websites that can do the job fast and for free, but the service we’ve decided to cover in this article has no limit in terms of the number of pages or daily quota for conversion.
By following our easy how-to guide, you can have tabular PDF data accurately exported into Excel for further editing in a matter of seconds 100% free and anonymous. Of course, should you decide to share the file and want to prevent recipients from modifying it, it’s advisable to save it back to PDF from the print dialog in Excel before sending it out.
Here’s how it’s done.
Once you enter the PDF to Excel free tool page, look for a big, gray rectangle. The text on it perfectly explains what you need to do next: “Drag & drop or click to upload a PDF file”.
As soon as you select a file, the tool starts the PDF to Excel conversion process. In a matter of seconds, you’ll see a “Done!” caption on the rectangle and the Download File button will appear below.
Next to it there will be a Convert another file button. If you want to proceed, make sure to click on it only after you have downloaded the previously converted file (it will reset the conversion area). Note that you can’t convert multiple PDFs and then download all Excel output files at once – you have to upload and download files one by one.
Your browser will download the converted file to a location on your hard drive. If you don’t know where it stores your downloads by default, click on the download file menu in the bottom left corner of the browser window and select to either Open the file (and save it to the location of your preference) or Show in folder to access the file’s location.
If you would like to try some other free PDF tools by the same developer you’ll have easy access to all of them in the area below the PDF to Excel tool.
You can also convert native and scanned PDFs to Word, PDF pages to PowerPoint slides and AutoCAD drawings, and convert more than 300 printable file formats to PDF.
The steps needed to complete the task are the same for every tool – upload the original and download the converted file. Just have in mind that conversions may take longer to complete if you upload a big file, especially if the OCR engine needs to extract text from scanned files.
We hope you found these tips helpful and that these free tools will make you more productive when working with PDF files without breaking the bank. Happy converting!
