The Lions Club of Tropical Gardens

(LCTG) recently became a bronze sponsor for the George Town Primary School’s “Wall of Honour” initiative.  The school is using this fundraiser to raise funds for its sports programme and a new playground.  The Lions Club of Tropical Gardens donated Two Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($250.00) towards this initiative and will have the name of the club engraved on a wall plaque, which will grace the multi-purpose hall at the school.

Mrs. Cheyenna Stewart, the PTA’s Fundraising Coordinator expressed her thanks to the club for its sponsorship. She said that this donation would go towards giving the students a much needed safe play area and an afterschool area where the children can stay until their parents collect them after work. President of LCTG, Belinda Blessitt Vincent stated that the club was committed to meeting the needs of the community especially in the area of early childhood and youth, so was very happy that they could assist financially.  The club, she states, also sponsor many other activities at the school.
