Cayman Islands: Marketing industry professionals shine at 2019 CIMPA Awards

Professionals from across the island joined forces on Thursday 6 June to crown the best of the best in the Cayman Islands’ marketing industry across a variety of categories.

The 2019 CIMPA Awards, held at the Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort, featured a ‘Cultivating Creativity’ theme and highlighted some of the most innovative campaigns and individuals from 2018.

The Community Impact of the Year award went to Tower for their work on Rotary Central’s ‘Not Your Spot’ campaign. Website or App of the Year was awarded to the team at Property Cayman and KAABOO Cayman were named Brand of the Year.

The Campaign of the Year award went to Boxed for their drive to bring freshly prepared frozen meals from their kitchen to ours.

Camana Bay’s “Slow Food Day 2018” was named video of the year.
Catherine Healy, CIMPA Chair, said: “I’d like to thank everyone for coming out to support the talented marketing professionals of the Cayman Islands and for making the evening such a huge success. The shortlist was strong with each finalist demonstrating hard work, energy, passion and a positive contribution to the local community.”

In the individual categories, Damien Murphy of AirVu Media scooped the Creative Professional of the Year award, while Collective’s Amy Still was named Marketer of the Year.

Not Your Standard was crowned Agency of the Year, and were also recognised for their work in developing the Boxed campaign.

Ms. Healy continued: “The high quality of the submissions made it very difficult for the judges to choose just one winner per category. The variety of entrants this year is testament to the diversity of the local talent we are so lucky to have. The finalists and award winners should be extremely proud of themselves. We would like to thank all of our sponsors, who enable us to continue to support the Cayman Islands marketing industry.”

The 2019 CIMPA Awards was well supported by a number of sponsors, including Suzuki, Hurley’s Media, Intec Research and Production Services, Tower, Pinnacle Media and Pink Duck Publishing, among others.
