The INTERREG Caribbean Program is organizing its 5th Selection Committee on 23 July 2019

Monday, July 22, 2019 – The next INTERREG Selection Committee will take place on July 23, 2019 in Marigot, Saint-Martin.
The aim of the INTERREG Caribbean cooperation program is to respond to the common challenges and challenges of the Caribbean countries and territories, notably by financing structuring projects and winners / winners. In accordance with the principle of geographical rotation of committees, INTERREG Caraïbes, under the chairmanship of Daniel Gibbs, President of the Collectivité de Saint-Martin, is organizing its 5th Selection Committee on July 23, 2019 in Marigot, Saint-Martin.
The selection committee will be held in the presence of The Guadeloupe Region, Program Management Authority, which will be represented by Marie-Luce PENCHARD, 2nd Vice-President and President of the Cooperation, European Affairs and Universities Commission, as well as representatives of Guadeloupe communities. from Guyana, Martinique, Saint Martin, representatives of Caribbean regional organizations (Organization of Eastern Caribbean States, Association of Caribbean States, CARIFORUM) and State representatives.
The Selection Committee will evaluate the six projects submitted to it at the Technical Committee on Friday, July 12, 2019, according to specific regulatory criteria defined by the partnership. Project promoters will have the opportunity to present their project in an appropriate way to one or more issues of the cooperation area, and involving a rich and relevant partnership:
- CLARAC : Resilience and adaptation of Caribbean local communities to climate change. Project leader: Agency for the Environment and Energy Management (ADEME).
- ARC-Antilles : helps build resilience to climate risks in the Caribbean.Project leader: University of the West Indies.
- Sargasses project : Sargasso seaweed cooperation program. Project leader: Regional Council of Guadeloupe.
- CCFC History City of the Corsairs and Flibustiers of the Caribbean .Project leader: LAJUS establishment.
- ACT Caribean Theatrical Actions – Project leader: SIYAJ Company.
- HOLA CARIBE : holistic approach to Caribbean biodiversity through characterization, valorization and innovation. Project leader: University of the West Indies.
To date, 22 projects are being implemented, this selection committee will also make it possible to review the amendments and requests for INTERREG Caribes CARIBSKY and CARIBIX projects.
