Sick passengers forces unscheduled stop
A Carnival cruise ship had to make an unscheduled stop in George Town after a passenger became ill.
The Freedom had earlier visited Cayman and was sailing away towards Jamaica. But it doubled back to port when a male passenger onboard started feeling unwell.
The ship had radioed ahead and Emergency Medical Technicians were waiting at the dock to take the man to hospital.
Although his condition is not known, it is thought not to be life threatening.
The ship continued its journey to Jamaica and the passenger is expected to meet up there or return home depending on how well he reacts to treatment.
