SYNOPSIS
Light northeasterly winds and slight seas will continue across the Cayman area for the next 24 hours due to a slack pressure gradient over the northwest Caribbean. Additionally, upper level conditions will become more favorable to support some showers overnight and into tomorrow. Radar images show isolated showers around the Cayman area which are drifting towards the west. The National Hurricane Center in Miami Florida is issuing advisories on Tropical Storms Dorian and Erin: Which at 4 a.m. TS Dorian was located near 16.8 north and 63.9 west or about 85 miles southeast of St. Croix with maximum sustained winds of 60 mph and moving towards the northwest at 13 mph. Also at this time, TS Erin was located near 32.5 north and 72.4 west or about 265 miles southeast of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina with maximum sustained winds of 40 mph and is moving towards the north-northwest at 6 mph. THESE SYSTEMS POSE NO THREAT TO THE CAYMAN ISLANDS.
