Skyliner Station Construction

We’ve been keeping tabs on the Caribbean Beach station for Disney’s Skyliner for some time now. As the largest of the stations, we’ve been extra curious to see how the final product ends up. Let’s see how it’s progressing as we get closer to the Grand Opening of the Skyliner next month
After the construction walls came down near the entrance, we were given some nice views of the station and surrounding buildings.
It looks like this station gets its own bus stop! Caribbean Beach is notoriously pretty large, and many guests traverse the length of it via internal bus shuttle. If you’re staying on the other end of the resort, you might need to take a bus to get to the Skyliner. Although, at some point, wouldn’t it just be faster to take the regular bus to Hollywood Studios or Epcot? We’ll find out, I suppose!
As the central station on the lines, Caribbean Beach is also where the Skyliner gondolas are stored when not in use. You can see the storage area back behind.
Guests can travel from this station in one of three directions: to Hollywood Studios, to Disney’s Riviera Resort and Epcot, or to the Art of Animation and Pop Century Resorts.
This little booth is also new, although I do not know what purpose it will serve. As the central station, it might be for information or guest service purposes.
From across the water you can see just how massive this station is. Three different lines converge in this spot.
It’s (finally) almost here! We’ll keep you up to date on the Disney Skyliner as we get closer to its Grand Opening, and we’ll make sure to be the first to ride the new transportation system so we can see if it was worth all the fuss!
