We have just heard that the local free over the air broadcast station CITN/Cayman 27 will permanently close.

We understand all employees were called to a staff meeting today where the announcement was made.

The company, now owned by Randy Merren, has been battling with the ICTA Authority over government fees and no agreement could be reached.

A Press Release will be issued.

The original owners of CITN/Cayman27 were Colin and Joan Wilson (who own this publication) who first started broadcasting on September 10 twenty-seven years ago. Joan’s birthday.
