From The Jamaica Star
Cayman-based singjay/rapper J Nez is confident that his single Island Pretty will become party anthem all over the Caribbean.
The song, produced by J Nez, is featured on his debut EP A King’s Paradise, which was released earlier this year.
“Caribbean women are some of the most beautiful women in the world; I love my Caribbean girls. My love for Caribbean women is so great, I just had to do a song for them,” said J Nez.
The seven-track EP features songs such as Man A Balla, featuring Safaree, Uh Huh, featuring Shanell (from Young Money), Closest, featuring Kevin Writer, and Nah Complain.
“My EP has been out since May; the project has been slowly gaining traction since its release, and now we’re promoting Island Pretty as the lead single. This song has the potential to be a huge hit. Jamaica is the place that my team are focusing on now in terms of promotions. Things are looking great so far. Island Pretty is getting a lot of rotation in Jamaica and other parts of the world,” he said.
J Nez, given name Jasen Campbell, was born and raised in Grand Cayman, but both of his parents are from Kingston, Jamaica.
He launched his recording career in 2004 with the release of a single titled I Want Youon the CBR imprint.
