A Georgia judge has denied Todd and Julie Chrisley’s request to embark on a week-long Thanksgiving vacation in the Cayman Islands amid their ongoing federal tax evasion case. 

Todd, 50, and Julie, 46, had filed paperwork seeking a judge to authorize temporary passports for the excursion, The Blast reported Wednesday, citing court docs from the case. The Chrisleys asked to travel on a commercial flight from Nashville to spend time with family at a resort.

The judge said that only extraordinary circumstances would merit the request amid the ongoing case, and not a family vacation, TMZ reported.

They told the court they would supply a detailed itinerary of their vacation plans, the outlet reported.

The getaway was to span from November 23-29, the Chrisleys would turn in their passports on December 2, according to court docs.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office did not protest the plan, the couple said in court docs, according to TMZ.

The request comes less than three months after were indicted by a federal grand jury on August 13 in Atlanta in connection with tax evasion, conspiracy and bank fraud. They pleaded not guilty to the charges and were released on a $100,000 unsecured bond.

Outside of the court, Todd told reporters that the family was leaning on their faith amid the turbulent time, the AP reported.

‘You know we stand in our faith and we stand for what we know is right,’ he said. ‘You know our family will stick together, walk this rope because we know God will take our hand and take us through.’

Family trouble: The Chrisleys have had a public falling-out with daughter Lindsie, who claims Todd tried to extort her over a supposed sex tape. She was snapped in Atlanta in September

The Chrisleys eventually came to a deal with the Georgia Department of Revenue in which they agreed to pay a sum less than $150,000 to put the case to rest, after showing they had paid more than they owed in half of the years cited.

‘Julie and I knew all along that we had done nothing wrong and that when the facts all came out, we would be fine,’Todd said in a statement following the resolution. ‘We’re just glad that the Department of Revenue was willing to keep an open mind and look at all the evidence.’

The Chrisleys are the latest reality stars to deal with accusations of tax-related crimes, as Jersey Shore’s Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino, The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Teresa and Joe Giudice and Dance Moms Abby Lee Miller have been convicted of financial crimes the past few years.

They’ve also made headlines amid their public falling-out with daughter Lindsie, who claims Todd tried to extort her over a supposed sex tape.
