Cayman: Wounding at a George Town Bar

Just after 1:20AM on Saturday 16 November, police and other emergency services were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communications Centre to Singh’s Roti Shop and Bar on Doctor Roy’s Drive, George Town, where it was reported that a fight was in progress and one man was injured as a result.
The injured party suffered a severe laceration to the arm and was transported to the hospital via the ambulance to be treated for the serious injury. The man remains in hospital and is now believed to be in stable condition.
A 37-year-old-woman of George Town was arrested in relation to the incident and has since been bailed pending further investigation.
The matter is being investigated by the George Town CID and detectives are appealing to anyone who was present during the incident to come forward with information that may assist in the investigation. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the George Town Police Station at 949-4222.
