IPBC Global 2020 set to continue the conversation on diversity in IP
“Broadening the innovation ecosphere to include women – and other under-represented groups – is critical to inspiring novel inventions, driving economic growth and maintaining the United States’ global competitiveness.” – Andrei Iancu, Director, USPTO
It is no secret that diversity continues to be a recognised but significant challenge for the IP and legal space – in particular, for deal making, an area which is largely dominated by men.
At IPBC Global 2019, attendees contributed to the creation of the ‘Boston Manifesto’ which outlined clear strategies to tackle gender disparity, and in 2020 we look to build on this discussion.
From 14 to 16 June at the Ritz-Carlton, Chicago, attendees will hear how leading players – including Microsoft and Facebook – are embracing diversity in deal making and the successful results that this is delivering. The difficult, but vitally important, topic of how to identify and then eradicate unconscious bias will also be a key discussion point.

IAM understands that who you meet at an IPBC Global is often just as important as what you learn, so we operate strict quotas at the event for service providers and private practitioners. With increased year-on-year demand, a number of pricing quotas have already closed and we encourage you to secure your place now to avoid missing out.
