  • College basketball tourneys draw thousands every March in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS – With sunny days and average highs of 70 degrees, Las Vegas welcomes hoops enthusiasts looking to trade winter chills for springtime thrills. With only-in-Vegas viewing parties and sporting events, Las Vegas is the ultimate March hotspot.

Every March the destination hosts four National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) basketball conference tournaments including the West Coast Conference (WCC), Western Athletic Conference (WAC), Mountain West Conference (MWC) and the Men’s and Women’s Pacific Athletic Conference (Pac-12).

The WAC Tournament returns to Orleans Arena March 11-14 for the 10th straight year, with match ups between California State University, Bakersfield, Chicago State University, Grand Canyon University, University of Missouri – Kansas City, New Mexico State University, Seattle University, University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and Utah Valley University.

Fans can keep cheering on some of the nation’s top college basketball teams at the 2020 Pac-12 Men’s Tournament at T-Mobile Arena, March 11-14.

Every year, thousands of out-of-town fans flock to Vegas to catch all the college hoops action, especially the first round of March Mayhem, which is consistently one of the busiest weekends in Las Vegas.

Hoops & Hops will transform The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas’Belmont Ballroom into an exclusive sports lounge offering luxury basketball viewing experiences, March 19-21. The basketball mecca will feature multiple stadium-style high-definition projection screens and 10 betting stations within an on-site dedicated sports book. The interactive lounge will also include complimentary bar games, as well as a hardwood basketball court with a regulation hoop where fans can practice their skills in between the action.

HyperX Esports Arena Las Vegas invites sports fans of all kinds to experience the tournament in a venue like no other. Catch all the action on the 50-foot LED wall located in the center of the arena as well as additional TVs located throughout the venue. Starting early and ending after the last game, the unforgettable location will be filled with basketball, VIP experiences, NBA 2K gaming stations and more.

Moneyline Sports Bar & Book inside Park MGM is gearing up for Bracket Bash 2020. Fans can enjoy food & beverage specials while their favorite teams face-off on 65-plus TVs and four Jumbotrons all on surround sound with in-game betting, gourmet bar food and of course 40-plus ice cold craft beers on draft.

Just down the Strip, fans can catch the Hoops on The Strip action at an all-new viewing experience inside the Criss Angel Theaterat Planet Hollywood March 19-21. Promising to be one of the largest parties on the Strip, attendees will watch all the games on a 40-foot screen that can be broken out to the four regional games at any given time, while lounging in theater-style seating.

Celebrating all the hoops action is a slam dunk at The Book atThe LINQ Hotel + Experience. Home to an amazing array of first-of-its-kind Fan Caves, more than 80 televisions and food and beverages crafted especially for game day, book the Ultimate Fan Experience during the college basketball tournament for up to 10 people.

Hoops fans can march into Topgolf Las Vegas for the ultimate sports viewing experience, with more than 300 screens, a massive 48-foot video wall and four levels of hitting bays. In addition, the venue will have betting stations available located inside The Toyota Yard from March 19-21. Reserve viewing packages that include couch seating for up to six people or high-top tables for up to four people, premium golf bays and cabanas, and food and bottle service during games.

From March 18-22, fans are invited to The D Las Vegas to score on the most anticipated games in college basketball with free 12thfloor watch parties, private rentable Man Caves, discounted room rates and live casino sports betting from Circa Sports. Additionally, guests will be able to grab a brew or cocktail at the D’s brand-new beverage venue, BarCanada.

South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa’s March to the Championship free viewing parties will feature a 60,000-square-foot fan zone, with wall-to-wall high-definition televisions, ensuring fans do not miss a moment of the non-stop action. In addition to the endless on-screen basketball, the watch party will have basketball hoops for fans to test their skills, cornhole and free 10-minute back massages to ease the stress of the last second action. On-site wagering stations will also be available for live betting.
