Cayman: Highwater adds new Director Nick Tappin
Highwater Limited, a boutique firm providing director services to the alternative investment industry, has added experienced fund professional, Mr Nick Tappin, to its board.
Nick Tappin is based in Geneva and serves as an independent director on the board of alternative investment entities. Nick has considerable experience with setting up and overseeing multi-jurisdictional hedge funds with specific investment fund experience in the areas of audit, fund accounting, back and middle office, valuation, human resources, compliance, risk management, corporate governance and tax.

Founder and Managing Director of Highwater, Mr Gary Linford, welcomed Nick to the team.

Nick joined Highwater after thirteen years at Jabre Capital Partners, a major hedge fund group based in Geneva, where assets peaked at $6bn. At Jabre, Nick concurrently held the roles of CFO and Board member of various companies within the group. Nick was instrumental in setting up the group and has significant experience in the jurisdictions of Switzerland, Luxembourg, the Cayman Islands, Singapore, the UK and Dubai.
Previously Nick spent six years as Head of Finance at GLG Partners, a major London based hedge fund (now part of Man Group), following their spin off from Lehman Brothers in 2000. The company operated in the UK, Ireland and the Cayman Islands. Prior to this Nick spent four years with Lehman Brothers, London, as a Financial Controller covering equities, equity derivatives, convertible trading, asset management and private clients.
With a BA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance, Nick has also been a fellow of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) for over 20 years.
