It is with much sadness we have to report the death of Mrs. Olive Miller who died this afternoon (Tue May 19). She was 98 and was recipient of The OBE and the MBE medals.

She is recognised for her lifelong commitment to community services, including founding the Girls Brigade, helping to open the Cayman Islands High School and Pines Retirement Home, as well as serving as the government’s first Information Officer.

She leaves a daughter.
