Today’s topics: US Death toll rises
There will NOT be a Friday call tomorrow at noon.
US Death Toll Rises I have mentioned on many previous occasions that death rate lags behind hospitalization rates by several weeks which lags behind case number increases by a couple of week. We those 6-8 have passed and we are now in the rising death rate period. In the last day, Florida, California, Texas, Idaho, and Alabama had new death rate records. The United States added 1,195 new deaths to our huge coronavirus death total of 143,846. The daily death rates are now at levels we haven’t seen since April when New York, New Jersey and the tri-state area were the epicenter. The Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation out of the University of Washington now projects that we will have almost a quarter of a million dead Americans from CoViD-19 by NOvember 1, 2020. The actual number is 219,864. I don’t have too much more to add about this. I’ve said it all already. Be well and take care of yourself. There are storm clouds on the horizon. –Dr. Stu |
