Arcahaie FC (HAI) vs Verdes FC (BLZ)
As part of Concacaf’s protocols to resume the 2020 Scotiabank Concacaf League (SCL), extensive COVID-19 testing is carried out on each club’s players and traveling staff prior to each match. In the case of the SCL preliminary round match between Arcahaie FC and Verdes FC, four players and four staff members from Verdes FC have tested positive for Covid-19.
The individuals concerned have been isolated from their team and are complying with Concacaf protocols and all laws and regulations imposed by local authorities.
Due to this high proportion of positive test results from a single club, Concacaf has made the decision to postpone this match. Further details will be provided in due course.
Concacaf is working with officials from Verdes FC to ensure the required support is provided.
CD FAS (SLV) vs Managua FC (NCA)
As part of Concacaf’s extensive testing conducted prior to the Scotiabank Concacaf League preliminary round match between CD FAS and Managua FC, one CD FAS player and staff member, and one Managua FC player and staff member have tested positive for COVID-19.
The individuals have been isolated from their respective teams and are complying with Concacaf protocols and all laws and regulations imposed by local authorities. Concacaf is working with both clubs to ensure the required support is available to them.
All other players, members of the travelling delegation and match officials have received confirmed negative tests and are eligible to participate in tonight’s match, which will be played as originally scheduled.
