As part of Concacaf’s protocols to resume the 2020 Scotiabank Concacaf League (SCL), extensive Covid-19 testing is carried out on each club’s players and traveling staff, and all match officials, prior to each match.

In the case of the SCL Round of 16 match between CS Herediano and Real Esteli FC, all players, traveling staff and match officials have tested negative for Covid-19.  

The match will be played as scheduled tonight at 8:00 pm ET

This match was originally scheduled to be played Thursday, November 5, but Concacaf made the precautionary decision to postpone it after several members of both clubs’ delegations tested positive for Covid-19 and there were inconsistencies with some test results.

LD Alajuelense (CRC) vs San Francisco FC (PAN)
In the case of the SCL Round of 16 match between LD Alajuelense and San Francisco FC, two players and one staff member of the San Francisco FC delegation have tested positive for Covid-19. The individuals concerned have been isolated from the team and have been advised of all Concacaf protocols and laws and regulations imposed by local authorities. 

The entire LD Alajuelense delegation and the match officials have all tested negative for Covid-19.

The match will be played as scheduled tonight at 10:15 pm ET.
