Cayman: Wounding in West Bay

Shortly before 7:00PM on Tuesday, 15 December, officers responded to a report of a wounding at an address on North West Point Road in West Bay. It was reported that a woman had been involved in an altercation with a man known to her, and received a wound to her arm, which appears to have been caused by a large knife. The woman attended the West Bay Clinic in private vehicle, and was subsequently transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital by ambulance. She was treated for her injury and subsequently discharged.
A short time later officers arrested a man, age 36 of West Bay, on suspicion of Wounding in relation to the incident. He remains in custody as investigations continue.
