Cayman: COVID-19 Regulations reminder on Public Gatherings
With New Year festivities approaching, the RCIPS reminds the public to ensure that their holiday plans reflect current COVID-19 Regulations.
No more than 500 people may attend public gatherings, including hotels, restaurants, nightclubs, bars, special events and other related businesses and events. Organisers and proprietors are encouraged to use a counting device to ensure they remain within the confines of the regulations.
Patrons, guests and attendees are encouraged to cooperate with proprietors, organisers and their employees as they enforce this and other regulations at their establishments and events.
The public is also being reminded that the use of hookahs, shisha, or water pipes is not permitted at any place of business.
A person in contravention of these regulations is liable on conviction to a fine of $10,000 and imprisonment for two years.
