Cayman: Rotary’s Boxing Day Bash was a Blast
The Annual Rotary Club’s Senior Citizens’ Luncheon was another huge success when they fed their guests with an appertising Christmas luncheon, turkey, ham, potatoes and all the trimmings. The First Baptist Church, as usual, supplied the venue.
The main music was supplied by Michael Lemay on his steel pans with Reba Dilbert bringing two girls in national costume supported by acts from the senior citizens themselves backed up by some of the Rotary members.
Our very own Joan Wilson read two of her poems, one how she met husband Colin (much laughter ensued) and another told from the point of view of a Christmas Tree that had gone through the season decorated up in glorious colours, but now all dried up, waiting to become mulch.
The Deputy Governor, Franz Manderson, visited all the tables and conversed with the many people he knew and related to.
Thank you Rotary Grand Cayman for another great Boxing Day afternoon.
And the seniors showed their skills at dancing, too.
