Mariah was honoured to attend the National Heroes Day Ceremony in George Town on January 25th, 2021. National Heroes Day recognises the outstanding contributions made by our seafarers, highlights the inspiring stories of our seafaring heritage and celebrates the industry that is firmly embedded in our history and culture. Thank you to the Lions Club of Grand Cayman and the Lions Club of Tropical Gardens for having our queen Mariah Tibbetts at their luncheon celebrating their founding father. Featured above is Premier Alden McLaughlin, Miss World Cayman Islands Jaci Patrick, Miss Teen Cayman Islands Jada Bodden, MCIU Chairperson Derri Dacres Lee and the Lion’s Club members. Mariah was delighted to participate in the annual Stride Against Cancer at the end of January. Mariah was honoured to attend the Alex Panton Foundation’s Annual Youth Mental Health Symposium. This year the symposium’s theme was Youth Mental Wellness: Reflection, Recovery, Resilience. She also assisted in handing out student awards. Congratulations to these young stars! During Mariah’s trip to Cayman Brac, she visited a number of sites including Brac schools, the Brac Heritage House, several churches, Government establishments and offices. We also had our Meet & Greet at the Alexander Hotel for the public. Thank you to the Government officials and the Honourable Moses Kirkconnel for showing us around and having us there. We had a wonderful trip to our sister island. |
