Cayman: PAHI Minister tours departments, meets staff

Newly appointed Minister of Planning, Agriculture, Housing and Infrastructure (PAHI), Hon. Jay Ebanks toured a number of departments under his portfolio and met with staff members last week.

These included the Public Works Department, Department of Vehicle and Equipment Services, Facilities Management, Department of Agriculture, National Roads Authority, Department of Vehicle and Drivers’ Licensing, National Housing Development Trust, among others.

“It is important for me to meet the staff in their work environment, see what they do and have some discussions before making plans for the ministry,” said Minister Ebanks.

He further stated, “My first impression is that this is a very active ministry that touches many aspect of our daily lives. The staff is very hardworking and motivated to deliver on Government’s policies and programmes”.

Minister Ebanks noted that already he is very comfortable and feels welcomed by all.

The PAHI Minister was accompanied on the tours by Parliamentary Secretary Isaac Rankine, Chief Officer Alan Jones and Deputy Chief Officers in the Ministry.
