Update (13 October):
As of 6:00AM today, 13 October, the Cayman Islands Coast Guard, along with members of the Royal Cayman Islands Police Dive Team, Cayman Islands Fire Service, Port Authority Cayman Islands, and other members of the community, resumed searching for the man who went missing from a vessel in the North Sound on Monday evening, 11 October.
The searches today involve more persons in the water supported by vessels, and utilising an extended line search technique which involves snorkelers conducting checks of the ocean floor in search of any items relating to the missing man. The search commenced at Starfish Point and has proceeded in a westward direction towards Governor’s Creek, after which it will resume in the opposite direction, from Governor’s Creek towards Starfish Point.
“The search technique being employed is one that is slow and methodical,” says Commander Robert Scotland. “As such, we are asking persons using the North Sound, who are not involved in the search, to exercise caution as there are swimmers and divers in the water.”
Initial Release (12 October):

The Coast Guard resumed the search at 6:00AM today, 12 October, with continued assistance from the RCIPS Air Operations Unit and the CIFS. In addition, the assistance of private vessels equipped with Marine VHF radios has been requested, and a number of private vessels have joined the search.
