A 29-year-old-man of West Bay has been charged with two counts of Possession of an Imitation Firearm with Intent to Commit an Offence, contrary to the Firearms Act (2008 Revision). The charges relate to the Shedden Road and Canal Point Drive shooting incidents which took place early in the morning of Monday, 11 October (see details here). He was initially arrested by police on Wednesday, 13 October in relation to these shooting incidents.

The same West Bay man was also charged with several drug related offences contrary to the Misuse of Drugs Act (2017 Revision), which includes two count of Possession of Ganja with Intent to Supply, Possession of Utensils used in the Consumption of Ganja, Possession of Ganja and Consumption of Ganja. These charges were following an investigation that began on 17 July, 2021.

The man appeared in court earlier today, 15 October, where he was remanded in custody, and is scheduled to make a further appearance on Thursday, 21 October, 2021.
