Cayman: Man arrested following Report of Suspicious Behaviour -UPDATED

The man, age 53 of West Bay, who was arrested on 14 January in relation to an incident on 9 January (see below), has been formally charged with Publicly Doing an Indecent Act and Criminal Trespass in relation to the same incident.
He appears in court today, 17 January.

At about 11:45AM Friday, 14 January, a man, age 53 of West Bay, was arrested on suspicion of being an idle and disorderly person in relation to an incident on the afternoon of Sunday, 9 January, near the beach just south of the West Bay Road tunnel. It was reported that members of the public had observed a man engaged in suspicious and possibly indecent behaviour near a group of children. The man was approached by a member of the public and then left the location.
The man remains in custody as investigations continue. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who may have seen a man engaging in suspicious behaviour in the area, is asked to contact the RCIPS Family Support Unit at 946-9185, or the George Town Police Station at 949-4222.
